Rental Terms and Conditions
By booking, paying a down payment or accepting delivery of any unit from Sugbo PlayStation Rentals, you (the “Renter”) agree to the following terms. The console, controllers, cables and accessories remain the exclusive property of Sugbo PlayStation Rentals (the “Owner”) at all times.
1. Eligibility and verification
The Renter must be at least 18 years old. A valid government-issued ID matching the booking name and an active local contact number must be presented and verified upon delivery. The Owner may refuse or cancel a delivery if verification fails, if the ID does not match the booking, or if the delivery address cannot be confirmed. In such cases the down payment is forfeited.
2. Rental period, rates and extensions
Rates are ₱99 per hour, ₱749 per day on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and ₱799 per day on weekends. The 3-Day Weekday Special (₱1,899) covers three consecutive weekdays. The Weekend Pass (₱1,999) runs Friday 6:00 PM to Monday 9:00 AM. The rental period begins at the confirmed handover time and ends at the agreed return time. Extensions must be requested and approved in advance, billed at standard rates and subject to availability.
3. Condition, handover and return
Each unit is inspected, sanitized and function-tested before delivery. At handover, the Renter and the Owner's representative jointly complete a checklist confirming the console, two DualSense controllers, HDMI cable, power cable, USB-C cable and packaging are present and working. The unit must be returned in identical condition with all accessories at the agreed time and place. Signing the checklist constitutes acceptance of the unit's condition.
4. Renter liability for loss and damage
From handover until confirmed return, the Renter assumes full financial responsibility for loss, theft, physical damage, liquid or water damage, electrical damage, misuse, tampering, unauthorized disassembly and unauthorized repairs. Repairable damage is charged at actual repair cost. Items that cannot be repaired, or that are lost or stolen, are charged at brand-new replacement value. Theft, loss or major damage must be reported to the Owner within 2 hours, and to the police where a report applies.
5. Permitted use
The unit is for personal, indoor, non-commercial use at the verified delivery address. Subleasing, lending, reselling, pawning, transporting the unit outside Cebu and nearby areas, commercial or public exhibition use, and installation of unauthorized software, modified firmware or additional accounts are strictly prohibited. Violation voids the rental immediately, forfeits the security deposit and may result in recovery action and legal remedies.
6. Security deposit
A refundable deposit of ₱500 applies to hourly and 1-day rentals, and ₱1,000 to rentals of 2 days and above, including both bundles. It is held for the rental duration and released in full after successful post-rental inspection. Deductions may apply for physical or liquid damage, missing or damaged accessories, excessive soiling requiring deep cleaning, unauthorized account or software changes, and late return fees. Any remaining balance is returned through the original payment channel within 3 banking days of inspection.
7. Payments, down payments and cancellations
A down payment is required to schedule and hold a slot and is strictly non-refundable once scheduled, including for no-shows and same-day cancellations by the Renter. The balance, delivery fee and deposit are settled as shown in the booking summary. If Sugbo PlayStation Rentals cancels due to internal issues such as unit failure, scheduling conflict or courier unavailability, the Renter receives a full refund of all amounts paid, including the down payment, or a free reschedule.
8. Late returns
Returns made after the agreed end time without prior written notice are charged ₱100 per hour or any fraction of an hour overdue, deducted from the security deposit. If a unit is more than 24 hours overdue and the Renter is unreachable, the Owner may treat the unit as unlawfully withheld and pursue recovery and legal action, including charging full replacement value.
9. Delivery, pickup and governing law
Delivery and pickup are provided within Cebu City and nearby areas, with fees quoted before payment. The Renter or an authorized adult representative must be present at the agreed times. Failed pickup attempts caused by the Renter may incur a trip fee. The Owner is not liable for indirect losses, service interruptions, internet or power issues, or data on personal accounts used during the rental. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, with venue in the courts of Cebu City.
